Established in 1997, Prestige Institute of Management & Research, Gwalior is a UGC Recognized Autonomous institute, NBA accredited institute and NACC ‘A’ grade institute. It was set up by Prestige Education Foundation, Indore. The Society was set up by Prestige Group of Industries to meet the widely felt need for globally oriented quality-based Management and Information Technology education and training for professionals. The Institute has grown to be recognized as a premier institute for higher learning. It is a major learning center in Central India. The Institute has the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education & the State Government and is affiliated to Jiwaji University, Gwalior.

Leading from the forefront, Dr. Nishant Joshi is the Director at PIMG. He is a Ph.D. from coveted Banasthali Vidhyapeeth, who researched on the topic- An Empirical Study on Promotional Mix Strategies Adopted by Selected Soybean Processing Companies. He is an M. Com and an MBA specializing in Foreign Trade.
Formerly, he was Director-in-Charge Department of Law, Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore. He is also currently Professional Director of HF Universal Private Limited, now a Billion Indian Rupee turnover startup which is also a Government of India recognized status house exporter. He is actively involved in providing the Prestige Group of Industries day-to-day strategic consultancy in the area of Forex & Custom Compliance, Policy-based incentive acquisition, and marketing in the Arabian and Persian Gulf Countries. He has eight years of industrial experience and 13 years of teaching experience.
He is the author of “Company Law and Secretarial Practices”, published in the year 2011, and has edited a research book titled, “Gravity” comprising of research papers prepared by Under Graduate Students of the Institute. He has been active in research work and has published 28 research papers in highly indexed national and international Journals and Books. He has presented his research at various International conferences held abroad in UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Germany. He is a life member of AIB (Association of International Business) Michigan, USA.

Get to know the Faculty
PIMG is home to excellent faculty which is a mix of individuals with industrial and academic exposure. Of over 70 faculties, around half are Ph.D. holders and the faculty abrasion has been less than 10% in the past 17 years. The institute puts in continuous efforts to improve the quality of faculty, not only by injecting new faculty members with the requisite experience and skills but also by taking care of the progress & development of the faculty that are already working with the institution. It has organized 11 research workshops over this period, 19 case-writing workshops, 12 international conferences, and about 15 national seminars in different areas of management. Continuous organization of such events allows the faculty members of the institution to upgrade their knowledge and skills.
The faculty is also research-oriented and most of them are now publishing in national and international journals recognized as such as BVIMR, Appeejay, Gitam, AIMA, Nirmay, Vidwat, NSHM, GIBS, etc. The case-writing workshops of PIMG have resulted in cases that have been published by The Case Centre, UK. These cases have been adopted by some of the best institutions and universities in the world including those in the US, Europe, Central Asia, Singapore, etc.
Transforming Students into Professionals
Being an autonomous institute it has introduced a choice-based credit system, CBCS with an outcome-based syllabus for creating a sound academic environment. Institute has adopted a flipped classroom teaching method supported by experiential learning via ICT. The faculty don’t just adhere to the curriculum and the syllabus but go the extra mile to help students develop their personalities and overcome their hurdles. A team of four faculty members is in charge of devising methodologies and implementing them to improve different aspects of the personality of the students, including communication skills.
PIMG’s students actively participate in events and activities organized by National institutions like IITs and IIMs. It sponsors them and around 800 students every year are representing and winning titles with their performance. The institute consistently works on each student’s attitude, skills, and abilities and prepares them for the future by making them industry-ready. As a result, a majority of agencies have been ranking the institute highly among the top 25 institutions from the country when it comes to placements. An International agency recently ranked the institute at 16th position in Central Asia among top MBA Full Time Masters. The institute has had almost 100% placement, best ROI for the MBA students which is possible through its 360-degree growth approach for developing students.
PIMG also has an incubation centre to motivate students to become an entrepreneur. If there are any prospective candidates, their projects are fine-tuned for presentation to government agencies for funding and in some cases, funded by the institute as well.

Currently, the institute is using all the latest techniques of teaching and developing students such as Learning through Movies, Seminars presentations, Group Discussions, Class Presentations, Summer training, Industrial tours, Live Projects, and Extra-Mural Lectures Series. In the COVID-19 times, new Technologies were deployed by the Institute that include: Online Classes, Webinars, Online Competitions organized by Various Institutional Clubs, Online Tests, Online Test Portal, Online Teachers’ Feedback Portal, Online Internal No-Dues.
A Potential Future
Recently, the institute has added one more course, MBA Business Analytics. Looking at where the world is heading now, the data field is growing at a tremendous pace. So, last year the institute introduced one in its core MBA Programs. By continually adding new courses under its banner and being an autonomous institute is moving towards its enlarged role as an education centre and transforming towards university status.
The institute is looking forward to international affiliations, international collaborations with institutions for faculty and student exchange programs, and also add few international accreditations.
